About Thubi

My role is to be alongside you on your journey inwards towards obtaining the growth you seek. Goals within my practice are discovered collaboratively. Our sessions are your time and dedicated to addressing what you deem vital to be heard within the safe and confidential environment that I have created for you. I offer non-judgement and acceptance. I value your anonymity, autonomy, and freedom. The space I provide is for you to unburden your truth and suffering as your pain deserves to be heard and understood.

I work from a multi-modality approach and tailor evidence-based techniques that have been validated by the most recent research, according to individual needs.

These modalities include, Person Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Logotherapy, and Mindfulness approaches. It is my intention to be transparent and truthful in the methods and interventions that we have agreed upon to practice with you. It is important that you feel comfortable with every step of our process towards your goals.

I have done extensive research in areas of grief, bereavement, mourning, and spirituality. I have experience working in a hospital setting with a diverse range of adult clients. I have also worked with refugees and visible minorities. I have prominent experience working with clients to address symptoms of Major Depression Disorder,

Generalized Anxiety Disorder, suicidal ideation, and trauma. I have worked with clients with PTSD, ADHD, BPD, OCD, and phobias, additionally. I aim to integrate my education, research, and experience to provide clinical practice based on your desired needs.

I am a registered member with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Master's degree in Counselling, Spirituality, and Psychotherapy from Saint Paul University. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree of Honour's with Specialization in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Ottawa. I have certification with the Suicide Prevention Training Program (ASIST) and completed additional, certified, crisis and distress training to work with individuals struggling with suicidal ideations.

My goal as a Registered Psychotherapist is to alleviate the shared, human, suffering you are experiencing so that you can truly live.

"If there is a meaning in life at all, then there must be a meaning in suffering. Suffering is an eradicable part of life, even as fate and death. Without suffering and death, human life cannot be complete.” - Victor Frankl
