About Kelly
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" –Mary Oliver, “The Summer Day”
There are so many things that I love about these lines by the poet Mary Oliver. She reminds us that we have choices about what we want to do with the unique and precious life we have. The word ‘wild’ can encompass beauty and pain, joy and struggle. But even when life is at its most difficult, and even when we feel least in control, we can make meaningful change.
In my practice, I support people in making these changes. I help them to identify and work through the issues that hold them back from healthy functioning. In the safe, supportive space of therapy, we work together to develop and enhance coping strategies for dealing with life's challenges and changes. We construct individualized plans to draw on your strengths and abilities and connect with what is most meaningful to you.
I hold an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology with training in individual and couples counselling. I am a member of the CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) and the OAMHP (Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have experience in helping older adolescents and adults cope with anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal relationships, career transitions, and other life challenges.
