About Alex

We are all on a continual journey of growth and change. Therapy can be an invaluable tool to support you in making decisions that are right for you, in a way that is reflective of your goals and needs. As your therapist, I will be guided by what works best for you, whether that be exploring and understanding your inner world, developing coping skills, navigating relationships or addressing any other concern that you may have.

Maintaining healthy relationships can be a strong motivator for positive change. With this in mind, I always offer an empathic and non-judgmental presence. In sessions, we will follow a pace that best suits you, whether that be approaching issues head on, or slowing down to explore them fully.

I practice using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and mindfulness, with an integrative approach. I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach, always ensuring that I meet you where you are at, no matter where that may be. Additionally, my approach to therapy is evidence based, ensuring that the care you receive is well-tailored to you and is as effective as possible.

My areas of experience include working with individuals who struggle with depression, suicidal ideation, social or generalized anxiety and emotional regulation. I also have a specific interest in working with men who struggle with loneliness, conceptualizations of masculinity and emotional expression.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists. I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University in Quebec.
